Does Anyone Hear My Prayers?

I’ve known God for a long time but just this week I was questioning and doubting why am I praying? Are my prayers even heard? Have you ever felt that way?

I came across this scripture in the book of Daniel. He was praying and confessing his sin and while he was still praying the angel Gabriel came to him in a vision and said: “The MOMENT you began praying, a command was given!” Daniel 9:23

The moment you start praying, God hears your prayers! And in Daniel’s situation, it says in chapter 10, that it took 21 days for his prayer to be answered because there was a battle going on in the spiritual realm that he couldn’t see.

Sometimes God answers our prayer in 21 days but sometimes it takes 21 years. We never know what things He’s working out behind-the-scenes. Maybe He needs to prepare our hearts, or build our faith, or has a reason we may never know about.

Maybe you’ve been asking for the same thing for a long time or maybe you don’t even know if God hears your prayers. God’s voice is never “doubt or confusion.” Trust that God hears your prayers instantly and he will work out all things and his Timing!
